BAY LAUREL (SWEDEN)

Bay Laurel was a Swedish goth/rock band  was founded in 1993 by Mattias Jonsson (Bass Guitar) (Logo + Band Name) Anders 'Anton' Karlsson (lead guitar) and Peter Miller (guitar). Scratched in Mattias room basement, with a 6x12 "Fender guitar amp (bass + synth) + other amps for guitar.  The band recorded a demo, Into the Mist , with an Alesis SR-16 drum machine, in September 1993 and received offers for various recording contract,. They chose Noxious records . 1995 released their debut album Under a clouded sky with Johan Carlsson on keyboards (later bassist Sparzanza ) and Tobias Gustafsson ( Vomitory ) on drums. All snare / snare drum were sampled straight from The Sisters of Mercy song 'Alice. by Ofra Haza.
